FAQs
Who can attend this workshop?
This workshop is designed for Occupational Therapists, Psychologist and Social Workers who are familiar with the Allen Cognitive Disabilities Model or those who have completed our two-day introductory workshop in the model and use of the ACLS and LACLS.
What’s in the workshop?
The workshop covers everything you need to complete an assessment, including support with templates for report writing, guidance on integrating other assessments tools and information about the model. The workshop also looks into the common pitfalls and errors that clinicians can make when completing a functional capacity assessment and how to avoid them.
Why use models?
The use of models enables consistent interpretation of results. The Allens Cognitive Disability Model, Allens Cognitive Level Screen and ADMs are evidence based, validated, standardised assessments recognised by the NDIS.
Who delivers the training?
The training is delivered by expert clinicians who currently work privately and deliver FCAs and Therapy to NDIS participants in both clinical and community settings.
What happens after a workshop?
Participants should have the knowledge, skills and tools to be able to complete functional capacity assessments for NDIS participants.
How many can attend a workshop?
Workshop sizes are kept to a maximum of 10 participants to ensure the workshop can be individualised to each participant’s needs.
